“I Grew Up in a Cotton Field”
Nova took us on a whirlwind world history tour following this wisp of fiber through time, including tales of enslavement, revolution, and industrial espionage. Then she took us into the cotton fields. From the fuzzy seed to harvest, we got an up-close look at cotton, which includes experiencing planting on a large cotton farm and observing a small gin in operation.
This was a wonderful look at the history of cotton and all that goes into getting the cotton ready to be made into cloth.
