Cheryl Arkison: “Scraptastic” via Zoom
Cheryl is from Calgary, Alberta in Canada. She is a quilter with 27 years of making and writing. She has written two popular books (Sunday Morning Quilts and A Month of Sundays) and runs virtual “Playcations” from her new studio. With three active and loud kids running, on top of an incredible barking dog, her chaotic environment fuels her creativity. Her discipline has inspired many to join in the “Morning Makes” she does – a new one every month.
Life is too short not to play with fabric. To play, period. Part instigator, part coach, she loves to get you exploring technique, ideas, and color as you dive into your stash. No piece is too small or too loud, fabric is meant to be used. Quilting, as is life, is about the process – the journey – not the product.
Cheryl gave us lots of information on using scraps, and using them with thought in mind as to color and value. There is a lot of information and inspiration on Cheryl’s web page.
